Our client is looking to speak with someone who is operating in the business of supplying biomass pellets/briquettes etc to thermal power plants for co-firing. Screening Questions: 1. What is your capacity? How much sales approx.? Who are the big players? Generally, what capacity plants are there in India? What are the key customer clusters and manufacturing clusters? 2. Who all are your customers? Which companies are the biggest consumers? Are you selling to big players like NTPC and so on - distance, competition, pricing? 3. How is the pricing decided? Is it spot pricing, contract, weekly publishing, tender? What is the MOQ like? 4. What are the technical parameters involved in selling - GCV or anything else? How are the prices tied to it? 5. What is the supply chain setup like? Do you deliver the products or customer picks it up? Transported in bags or open? Trucks? 6. What are the challenges in selling? What kind of support would be needed from govt from a marketing pov, not mfg pov? 7. Are there supply challenges in providing consistent quantities throughout the year? What sort of challenges do you face in supply consistent quantity - raw material, labour, infra,?
